Chubby Checker

Chubby Checker was born Ernest Evans on October 3, 1941.  He is famous for popularizing The Twist, The Pony Express, The Limbo Rock and of course The Fly.

CHUBBY CHECKER SIX PACK contains six songs, three of which have never been released until now.  Four of the songs feature musicians Daryl Hall (before he teamed up with John Oates), along with Tom Sellers, Tim Moore and Bobby Eli.  The great Hal Blaine performs on one of the songs with members of The Wrecking Crew.

The CD is presented by songwriter/record producer John Madara, through That Philly Sound, which is dedicated to the music that came out of Philadelphia during the '50s and '60s.

Along with John Madara's writing and producing contribution to the songs in this historical CD, he also co-wrote and co-produced with Dave White such international hits as AT THE HOP (Danny and The Juniors), ROCK AND ROLL IS HERE TO STAY -- producer (Danny and The Juniors), YOU DON'T OWN ME (Leslie Gore) and 1-2-3 (Len Barry, who co-wrote the song with Madara & White).

All songs have been digitally restored and digitally mastered.
